The starry sky above Lake Tahoe is one of the most memorable summertime experiences for thousands of visitors each year. NorthstarResort is hosting a series of Tahoe Star Tourswith the President of the Nevada Science Coalition to help visitors understand what they see when they look up.
Each tour focuses on celestial current events, or what is happening in the sky on the night of the tour, and includes a laser tour of the stars and constellations, a telescopic viewing, a fun space quiz with prizes, and a poem. Star tourists should bring a child’s curiosity and plenty of questions.
Lodging packages are available for each tour and start at $160 per person including two nights in a studio room and one ticket to the night’s Tahoe Star Tour. Price is based on double occupancy. All lodging guests receive complimentary access to the Recreation Center with a full fitness center, outdoor pools and spas, tennis center, children’s game room, adult quiet area, aquatic exercise classes, and organized children’s activities. To book a lodging package, please call 1-800-GO-NORTH.
