Chef Taro Arai and His Little Brother Return for a Culinary Grand Finale at Mikuni Sushi Judgment Day Final Round

SACRAMENTO, CA- Mikuni Roseville will host Judgment Day Final Round, where Chefs Kotaro “Taro” Arai and Naomichi “Nao” Arai return for a culinary grand finale. Guests will blind taste recipes to decide which will make it onto the Mikuni Summer menu along with the others that were chosen at the past two Judgment Days. This event will be Tuesday, February 26th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Mikuni Roseville on Eureka Road.

Judgment Day Final Round will allow guests to witness the return of the brotherly rivalry between Taro and Nao Arai, both experienced sushi chefs, as they return for the final round. Participants will enjoy four courses, featuring eight recipes, all paired with specialty beers from Sierra Nevada. “We are more innovated going into the final round and will be creating more complex and unique, traditional Japanese recipes,” said Taro Arai, Mikuni co-owner. “With Nao and I tied, with one win a piece under our belts, we have stepped up our game to show who has what it takes to be crowned the King of Sushi.” Attendees will be asked to score each dish and at the end of the night, where the final Judgment Day winner will then be announced.

This event will also serve as the last benchmark for new items to introduce on the specials menu at Mikuni locations this summer. “after two rounds of Judgment Day, our guests have been the deciding factor for what dishes make it on to our unique specials menu,” said Nao Arai. “We are very thankful that we have had so much feedback and participation from our guests. We know this final round will be no different.”
