Mikuni Offers Sushiology Class for Newcastle Elementary School

ROSEVILLE, CA– “Mikuni Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar located at 1565 Eureka Road in Roseville is teaching a class on the art of sushi-making to students at Newcastle Elementary School on Tuesday, February 5 at 6:00 p.m.

Mikuni Sushiology classes taught to adults at the restaurant normally cost $65 per person. Mikuni offers an introductory course to students at a discounted price, so they can be inspired by the history of Mikuni Sushi. It is an American Dream story about a family that emigrated from Japan, speaking no English, and built a successful business based in Sacramento.

“I learned how to make Japanese food from my mother and I want to share my favorite cuisine with the kids,” said Master Chef Taro Arai, who is showcasing sushi-making for the students at Newcastle Elementary. “I know there are many students who are interested in trying new things and Sushiology is an inspirational class for young people who dream about being a chef or owning their own business someday. If I can do it, they can do it.”

Mikuni Sushiology classes have been extremely popular. The courses emphasize Japanese cuisine, culture and business lessons. Taro Arai brings animated, innovative and amazing knowledge to each class– so students can create unique sushi as perfected in Mikuni kitchens by talented chefs.
