ROSEVILLE, CA–The Roseville Chamber of Commerce presented Mikuni owner, Taro Arai, with the Businessperson of the Year Award at a ceremony in January. Taro was nominated by Roseville Chamber board member Krista Bernasconi, Director of Public Affairs with Surewest.
The nomination was based on a number of criteria including “conducting company business so that the company’s customers, employees and community are all enriched by the value this business brings to them,” said XXX from the Roseville Chamber of Commerce. “Taro’s story made him a worthy candidate,” added Bernasconi. “He has learned and proven to be a very successful business owner with strong sense of corporate philanthropy.”
The award comes at a very appropriate time for Taro and the team at Mikuni Restaurant Group who celebrate twenty five years in business this year. “I am so thankful for this award, but I am not accepting it just for myself,” said Taro. “I am accepting it on behalf of all of the hardworking Mikuni employees and all the guests who have contributed to our success.”
