FAIR OAKS, CA– In celebration of being in business for twenty five years, Mikuni Restaurant Group partnered with Pruett Vineyards to create a private labeled anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine and bottle were carefully selected by Mikuni to signify their special anniversary. The artwork on the bottle is by local Sacramento artist, David Garibaldi and each of the 600 bottles have been numbered and signed by Mikuni Master Chef, Taro Arai and Mikuni founder, Reverend Koki Arai. “Many of our long time customers have purchased the bottle and have yet to consume the wine,” Mikuni CEO Haru Sakata said. “They say they are saving it for a souvenir and feel like they now have a piece of Mikuni history.” The bottles are on sale at all Mikuni locations for $50 and come with a complimentary copy of Taro’s memoir, Abundance. The book includes the history of Mikuni, as well as recipes for some of the most popular Mikuni dishes, rolls and sauces. “It is a true story of seeking the American dream and finding it.” Sakata said. “We want all of our guests to enjoy the wine and feel that our long time customers will really appreciate the significance of the Anniversary bottle, and the stories and recipes the book shares.”
The feedback on the wine has been incredible. With many guests raving over the smoothness of the flavor and how well it pairs with their favorite Mikuni dishes. For those interested in purchasing a bottle, move fast. There is only a limited supply and they will only be on sale for a limited time.
