SACRAMENTO, CA – With six locations in the Sacramento region, and many first place awards for Best Japanese and Best Sushi, Mikuni brings its renowned Japanese cuisine and fresh sushi to the popular open-air retail center, The Fountains at Roseville. The venture will be called Mikuni Kaizen.
Mikuni CEO, Haru Sakata, explained, “The vision of the new name for this restaurant is our mission to continually improve our business operations in all areas.†Sakata continued, “The past couple of years has seen some setbacks and refocus, and now we are moving forward again, cautiously.â€
Mikuni Kaizen will occupy a 4,400 sq. ft. space vacated by a former sushi concept so the takeover can occur with minimal capital investment. Mikuni plans an innovative, small plate menu and a blend of some of the signature items from their location in East Roseville on Eureka Road and from Taro’s by Mikuni, located in Market Square at Arden Fair. The opening of Mikuni Kaizen will be the ninth sushi concept for the restaurant group. In addition to serving lunch and dinner, Mikuni Kaizen will offer sushi to go and a full bar open nightly until 11:00pm.
Mikuni, long known for its loud, energetic atmosphere will not disappoint with Mikuni Kaizen. Plans are in place to create an environment where people can enjoy themselves and entertain friends and family and have fun with the cuisine amid the sushi chef interaction. “We are successful because of the talent and hard work of all our employees,†stated Kevin Kim, COO. “This will be another challenge and no one is better positioned for it than Mikuni.â€
